41.  Helen Lavinia Hardigree was born 22 May 1915 and died 12 Jan 2004 in Monroe, GA.  She was 88 years old. 
Burial was at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery.  Her husband was Nimon Horace "Pat" Craig.

42.  Jerome Durham "Jerry" Hardigree, 89, died 2 Nov 2006 at his home in Watkinsville, GA from an extended 
illness of spinal stenosis, due to which he could not stand or walk for the last eight years of his life.  He was 
born 14 Jun 1917 in Oconee Co., GA to Reginald E. and Pattie Durham Hardigree.  Survivors include his wife of
seventy years and ten months, Hazel Lavender Hardigree; a daughter and son-in-law, June and Allen E. Dooley; 
a number of nieces and nephews.  Mr. Hardigree was preceded in death by an infant son, Gerald Dudley
Hardigree, a brother, Reginald Samuel Hardigree, and a sister, Helen Hardigree Craig.  Interment was at the
Antioch Christian Church cemetery in Watkinsville.

39.  Charles Stanley "Charlie" Hardigree
95.vFranklin D. Hardigree of Lavonia, GA, 68, died 6 Dec 2007.  His burial was at Danielsville 
Memorial Gardens in Lavonia.  Survivors included his sister, Joyce Loggins of Lavonia; several
nieces and nephews.

54.  Ebbie Elgie (Hardigree) Suttles and her husband James Luther Suttles were not divorced.
117.iJames Luther Suttles, Jr., age 77, of Decatur, GA, died 19 Oct 2008.  He was survived by his 
wife Millie; daughter, Nancy Suttles of Roswell; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Julie 
Suttles of Loganville; grandsons, Trey Suttles and Colby Suttles; and sister, Sandra Collins of
Centerville, VA.  James was a native of Sumter Co. and retired as a Captain with the GA 
National Guard where he served for 24 years.

67.  John William Hardigree
His obituary listed him as John Willie "Papa John" Hardigree.  He was 82 when he died 6 Jun 2001 in Winder,
GA.  He was a native of Barrow Co., GA and the son of late Willie and Willie Mae (Fincher) Hardigree.  He
owned Hardigree's Lake in Statham and was an US Army veteran of World War II.  Burial was at Barrow
Memorial Gardens.  Survivors included his wife, Retha Hardigree; two daughters, Evelyn Sargent, Nicholson,
and Janice Johnson, Winder; six sons, Edward Hardigree, Kileen, TX, Royce Hardigree and James Hardigree,
both of Winder, David Hardigree, Covington, Richard Hardigree and Johnny Hardigree, both of Winder; four
sisters, Lillian Finch and Lara Finch, both of Grovetown, Annie Fleming, Bogart and Louise Fincher, Winder;
five brothers, James Hardigree, Hoschton, Joel Hardigree, Statham, Harold Hardigree, Winder, Herbert
Hardigree, Jonesboro, and Rammie Hardigree, Monroe; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

68.  James Phillip Hardigree 
Frances Hardigree Hutchins, first wife of James Phillip Hardigree, died at age 79 on 24 Oct 2009 in 
Lawrenceville, GA.  She was born 13 May 1930 in Hoschton, GA to the late Thedford and Varie Allen.  She 
was preceded in death by her husband Robert Hutchins; son, Terry Phillip Hardigree; and brother, Leroy Allen. 
Surviving are her children, Twanda and Bruce McElreath, Bethlehem, GA, Tyron and Donna Hardigree, 
Dawsonville, GA; sisters, Sue Meadows, Lawrenceville, Gloria "Priss" Clark, Hoschton; brothers, Bill Allen,
Hoschton, Donald Allen, Hoschton; grandchildren, Ron Hardigree, Todd Hardigree, Cindy Hardigree, Aamma 
"Brandi" Khan, Terry Garrett, Jared Hardigree, Cameron Hardigree; 8 greatgranchildren and special friend, 
George Wilson.  Burial was at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hoschton, GA.

daughters - Teresa Hardigree of Winder, GA and Tran Thi Kim My of Washington, DC; sons - John Hardigree 
of Maysville, GA and Robert Hardigree of Monroe, GA; grandchildren - Jamie Wolfe, Teri Wolf[e], Christian 
Wolfe, Amanda Hardigree, Melinda Tran, Adam Hardigree; sisters - Jean Cable of New Orleans, LA and Louise
Gentzler of Shreveport, LA; and brothers - James Coleman of Texarkana, TX and Grady Coleman of Monroe, 
GA.  Burial was at Hill Haven Cemetery in Barrow Co., GA.  Her name was spelled as Sara in the obituary 
and as Sarah in the book.

86.  Ruth Eugenea Hardigree's married surname should be spelled as Threlkeld.  She was born 1 Jun 1919 in 
Oconee Co., GA, died 25 Oct 2003 in Athens, GA, and buried at Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens.  Ruth 
married William Madison Threlkeld on 28 Aug 1937 in Clarke Co., GA.  He was born 27 Sep 1919 in Oconee 
Co. to James David and Obelia Elizabeth (Parham) Threlkeld and died 2 Dec 1990 in Athens.  They had 3
children.
___.  Patricia Elizabeth Threlkeld was born and died 30 Nov 1938.
205.  Richard William Threlkeld of Eastanollee, GA and an U. S. Air Force veteran, died 22 Nov 2002, age 63, 
and was a native of Oconee Co., GA.  He was born 16 Nov 1939.  His burial was at Oconee Hill Cemetery. 
He was married twice, first to Madiline ______ and they had 2 children:
(1)  Tammy Lynn Threlkeld (10 Jun 1965 - Aug 1977; Oconee Hill Cem) was shot at age 11.
(2)  William David "Billy" Threlkeld has been married twice.  His first wife was Elaine Richard married 
second to Sarah Lee (Mitchell) Whitsel in the 1980s who had two sons from her previous marriage.  
He adopted her two sons and Sarah adopted his son, Billy.
(3)  Tommy Lee Threlkeld (formerly Whitsel) married Angela Kathryn Davis on 6 Sep 1992 in SC.  They 
have 2 children:  Brandon Lee and Samantha Dawn.
(4)  John Wesley Threlkeld (formerly Whitsel) married Heather Leigh Braswell on 22 Jan 1990 in SC and 
they have 4 children:  Alice Faith, Brandy Michelle, Jennifer Haley, and John Matthew.
206.  Sandra Ruth Threlkeld was born in Clarke Co., GA.  She married Harold Pritchett and they had 2 
children:  Eddie Pritchett and Shannon McMillan.

veteran of U. S. Navy.  He was buried at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery.  Survived by his wife of 45
years, Carolyn; daughter Lynn Huff of Arnoldsville, GA; son Kristopher C. Hardigree of Virginia Beach, 
VA; two sisters, Ruby Neal Lavender of Watkinsville, GA and Lavert Parks of Athens, GA; brother Ralph 
C. Hardigree of MS; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.  He was preceeded in death by a brother,
Thomas Hardigree.

According to her obituary, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Perry T. and Lavena M. (Streets) Stanley.
She was survived by her sons, Richard E. Mead of Dorthy, NJ and William A. Mead of Stoney Creek, NC; 
her daughters, Linda Ramer, Marietta, GA and Diane Wright of Durham, NC; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-
grandchildren.

(8-3)  James Timothy Hardigree of Homer, GA married on 6 Jun 2009 in Homer, GA to Pamela Gail
Chambers Wilder, daughter of Brenda Chambers of Homer and the late George R. Chambers, Jr.
James was the son of Melvin and Marion Hardigree of Winder, GA.  Other Hardigrees mentioned in
this article were Kelly Hardigree and Amy Hardigree as bridal attendants, David Hardigree as one of
the groom's attedants.  Marion Hardigree was a candlelighter and usher.  David Hardigree provided
the music and Kelly Hardigree was vocalist.  Beth Hardigree was the bride's book attendant.  The
couple resides in Homer.

[208.]  (7-1)  James William Crow, II (28 Dec 1953 - 28 Mar 2016) was the driver of a Milky Way truck semi 
hauling a double tanker of milk and tragically injured when his truck overturned on the Interstate just east of 
Boardman, Oregon.  He was taken to the hospital in Portland, Oregon where he died.

[216.]  (7-1)  David Stanley Hardigree (18 Mar 1949 - 8 Dec 2004) of Elijay, GA was a native of Decatur, GA and a 
U.S. Navy veteran having served in the Vietnam Conflict.  Burial was at Evergreen Memorial Park 
Cemetery in Athens, GA.  Survived by his father, Sidney Curtis Hardigree, daughter Heather Anne 
Eberheart of Martinez, and brother Richard Hardigree of Athens.
